Christmas is nearly upon us; it's about time to consider where you can get your tree from.

Regardless of whether you're a colour coordinated, meticulous decorator, or a throw everything on the tree haphazard decorator, pine trees are an integral part of the Kiwi tradition.

Luckily in our area, there are multiple places to pick yourself the perfect Christmas tree, and at the same time support a great local cause.

Warkworth Volunteer Fire Brigade are continuing their annual tree sale, from now until whenever the trees sell out. Prices start at $30.00 and depend upon the tree you choose. They will be open for business from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday to Sunday. For an extra $5.00 they will also wrap the tree, making it a lot easier to squish into the car for the journey home.

You can also pick up a beautiful tree from St John's Warkworth Ambulance Station.

Nothing beats the smell of a real Christmas tree, and it's an added bonus that by buying one from the Warkworth Fire Brigade or St. John’s you are supporting causes that help so many people in our area.
