Widespread power outage affecting Warkworth, Matakana, Leigh, Omaha, Kaipara Flats, Sandspit and Point Wells.

Vector is indicating an estimated restoration of 8.00pm - 9.00pm today.

The cause of the outage is currently unknown but there have been several reports of trees coming down with the high winds.
