A message from NZX2 Group undertaking works just North of Warkworth:

Night works are progressing well, and we are ready to complete the traffic switch on State Highway 1 around the new Pukerito (Northern Connection) roundabout, this coming Sunday 4 September, 9pm to 5am.

A much shorter detour via Hudson Road will be in place overnight while we do this work. After the switch has taken place, the road surface will be a lot smoother.

From Monday 5 September the road layout will be different between Kaipara Flats Road and Hudson Road – so please drive to the sign posted speed limit and follow the directional signage.
