Four Square Matakana is expanding. Over the next few weeks, the owners will be expanding their retail space into the old Black Dog Cafe on the corner next door.

Walls will be knocked down to give more space in the shop, allowing their range to also expand.

3 self-checkouts will be added.

A full renovation will happen after Easter - with the result being these photos.

A few locals have complained on the Four Square Matakana Facebook page about the new look saying it will take away the village feel. Others have also queried if parking spaces will be added to an already congested shopping area. However many locals have expressed their excitement at the expansion.
