Hugo has been found safe and well. Police were blown away by the public response and said that, in over 17 years, they haven't seen a community act so fast and in such numbers with people searching every corner of Omaha.

Well done Omaha community!

Hugo, a 15 year old boy with autism, left his parents house just before midnight. He is only wearing green and black underpants.

Police and parents have been searching overnight but please report any sighting and please check your house or outhouse in case he sheltered there for the night. Thank you.

Locals have started searching the beach and local streets of Omaha. Police have advised for people wanting to help in the search to concentrate on the sand dunes adjacent to the beach in the old end of town.
