There’s a temporary closure announcement for Wenderholm Regional Park today, Boxing Day (Thursday, 26th December), due to an issue with the park's water supply, which has left toilet and water facilities out of order.

Council officials are actively working to resolve the problem as quickly as possible, according to a council spokesperson.

In the meantime, there are plenty of fantastic nearby attractions to consider for your holiday outing.

Options include Orewa Beach, kayaking along the Puhoi River, or exploring other stunning regional parks such as Tāwharanui, Shakespear, or Mahurangi. These parks feature breathtaking coastal scenery, walking tracks, and picnic areas, making them perfect for a family day out.

The council will provide updates on Wenderholm Regional Park's reopening status as soon as more information is available.
