**SH1 Warkworth, Road Closure Update**

Due to the recent wet weather and with more on the way, we have postponed the SH1 road closure from Hudson Road to Kiapara Flats Road, Warkworth.

The overnight closure will now start on Sunday 24 July and we will need five nights to complete the pavement works (ending 29th if no delays).

When the full closure is in place, there will be a detour around Warkworth (via Woodcocks Road and Kaipara Flats Road).

The detour will add up to 10 minutes travel time for some road users, so we advise planning ahead for travel over this time.

Pavement work is very weather dependent, and the team need five full nights to complete this work, so timings may change at short notice.

Work that is unable to be completed during wet or very cold (<5C) weather, will roll over to the next available fine night.
