Hestia Rodney Women’s Refuge is saying goodbye to a beloved member of the team — a trusty old van that has served with unwavering dedication for years. From late-night emergency pickups to delivering essential supplies during the Christchurch earthquakes, this van has been there through it all.

Sadly, she has now failed her final Warrant of Fitness and is officially off the road. A true workhorse, her loss is deeply felt by the team.

This van was more than just a vehicle. It was a lifeline — helping move women and children to safety, collect vital donations, and ensure support reached those in crisis. Without it, important work is being held back.

Women’s Refuge is now reaching out to the community for support.
