** Pukerito roundabout is OPEN!! **

If you’ve have travelled north of Warkworth this week you will have driven around our the newly opened Pukerito roundabout.

The naming of significant project features is an important process for mana whenua (the people from this place) which highlights connections to their ancestors and iconic identity markers in our environment.

The Hōkai Nuku Cultural Advisors gifted the name Pukerito which translates as ‘middle hill’ this reflects the general location of the roundabout recognising the hill between the two gullies.
