Power outages are affecting both Vector and Northpower customers with parts of Waipu, Waiotira and Paparoa reporting outages in Northland.

In Rodney, Snells Beach, Sandspit, Kaipara Flats and Dome Valley also have reported outages.

Teams are investigating, however reasons given include trees over power lines or broken lines

Rodney area the Heavy Rain Watch has been extended until 5pm today (Tuesday 21st Jan) and the Strong Wind Watch extended until 3pm today.

Northland weather warnings are much the same with Heavy Rain Warning until 2pm today and Strong Wind Watch has passed.
