A person has died in a crash between a motorcycle and quad bike in Warkworth.

Police said the crash occurred on private property on Kaipara Flats Road, with emergency services called to the scene at 1.35pm on Saturday.

One person died at the scene.

The Serious Crash Unit had examined the scene and police said the circumstances of the crash were still being probed.
