Local road users have updated us on the current traffic in the area.

"Heading to Hill St from Matakana it's back to the golf club already." Roughly 11 minutes ago.

"Traffic backed up to the deer farm on Sandspit Road" 14 minutes ago

According to others, Omaha Flats Road is very busy. This is expected due to the long weekend and NZTA shared the following on their website yesterday.

Traffic is expected to be busy southbound through this area on Sun 30 Jan from 2pm to 6pm and again on Mon 31 Jan from 10am to 4:30pm.

Road users are advised to allow extra time for their journeys or consider travelling outside this period. Please drive to the conditions.
