Wood Street Businesses: Important Construction Update

We’d like to inform you about the upcoming Wood Street and Surrounds Revitalisation and Stormwater Construction project.

When: Monday, 24 March, 6pm - 7.30pm

Construction for the permanent upgrade of Wood Street and the surrounding area is scheduled to begin on Monday, 31 March 2025. The project, which has been awarded to HEB Construction, will include upgrades to the stormwater network, as well as permanent designs for Wood Street, the old fire station site, and the back carparking area and playground (behind Gringas).

Work will start in the furthest back carparking area first, with no work on Wood Street beginning until after Easter.

We’re holding this session to:

1. Provide an overview of the construction programme
2. Explain what to expect during the project
3. Introduce you to the HEB Construction team

HEB will have a dedicated stakeholder manager on-site throughout the project, who will be your key contact during construction.
