Final repairs on Devich Road bridge to start next week

From Monday 4 March the bridge will be closed during work days for approximately four weeks, to enable Council contractors to complete work on the retaining walls and a ground anchor that is integral to the bridge’s structure.

The majority of work was completed prior to Christmas, to allow peak holiday traffic through during the summer months.

Traffic management will be in place and the bridge will be closed between 7.30am – 5pm Monday – Friday while the work is carried out. It will open again at the end of each work day and during the weekends.

Since February’s extreme weather events, we have restored most roads that were damaged but are still working on a number of sites in the Kaipara District.
