Work involves clearing vegetation and replacing two of the most severely impacted retaining walls, constructing a third retaining wall, repairing the scouring damage, and then overall strengthening works on the bridge. Work is expected to take five weeks and be completed before the holiday period. The bridge will remain closed until repairs have finished.

Since February’s extreme weather events, we have restored most roads that were damaged but are still working on a number of sites in the Kaipara District.
