The Mahurangi East Library opeining date has unfortunately been delayed further. Last week, the library team farewelled their beloved portacom temporary library. It has been a wonderful little home for nearly a year, and the library staff are incredibly grateful to everyone who visited and supported them during that time. They would like to say a massive thank you to the Mahurangi East Tennis Club for allowing the use of their space while the library operated from the portacom, and for their amazing support, friendliness, and collaboration.
The newly refurbished library is now looking fantastic, with the team working hard to create a warm and welcoming space. However, due to unexpected issues in preparing the building for public use, the planned reopening date of Monday 28th April has unfortunately been delayed.
At this stage, there is no confirmed new opening date, but updates will be shared as soon as they are available.
In the meantime, visitors are asked to either hold onto their books or return them to Warkworth War Memorial Library. Any holds placed with the team will remain safe and ready for collection once the library reopens.
The team sincerely apologises for the inconvenience, as the delays are beyond their control. They kindly ask for patience, understanding, and a little kindness toward staff, who are doing their best under the circumstances.
Thank you for the continued support!
