16 Mahurangi College students will see their hard work come to fruition on Thursday, with the auction of the tiny home that they have been working on for the past few months. 

Hurry for the last chance to view the house before it goes under the hammer. Private viewings are welcome, and the tiny house will be open for general viewing today, Wednesday December 15, from 12:00.00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m.

The house is approximately 24sqm with an open plan kitchen and lounge, double bedroom, and bathroom. It is beautifully finished, with minimalist design, negative detailing on inside panels, neutral colours, a high stud and quality appliances.

The tiny home has been built to be towed on a custom-made trailer, included in the sale. There is no need of "wide load" supported travel, so the house can be relocated to wherever it needs to be.

Tiny homes are fast becoming popular, perhaps because of the many options they offer: use as an affordable first home, holiday bach, cabin, home office, teenagers retreat, shop, B&B accommodation or sleepout. They have a minimal footprint and are cost efficient. You do not spend as much on power or home maintenance.

The house will be auctioned off by Bayleys, who are proud to be supporting our local schools and the community in this fantastic fundraising initiative. All proceeds of the sale will be going towards the college.

The Auction will be held at Mahurangi College on Thursday the 17th of December, at 10:00 a.m.
