A logging truck struck the front of Lime Tree Café, located at 172 Rodney Street, Wellsford 0900, in the early hours of Monday and left the scene without making contact.

CCTV footage shows the truck pulling up outside the café around 4.10 am before visiting the nearby Mobil service station. Approximately 4.25 am, the vehicle appears to collide with the shopfront, visibly shudder, reverse to extricate itself and then drive off.

No injuries were reported, though the café exterior sustained damage. The owners report they have not heard from the driver or his company and are gathering additional footage from surrounding businesses and service stations. They are calling for any witnesses or dash-cam footage from Wellsford between 4 am and 4.30 am on Monday to come forward. The café can be reached at 027 478 9803.

Once all footage is collected, the café intends to report the incident to Police and its insurance provider.
