Although the weather was a bit cold and threatening rain with lightening predicted, this didn’t deter over 100 people from jumping in the water, many hooting and hollering as the cold hit them! There were just as many spectators on the shore encouraging the swimmers on!

This year’s event was the biggest turn out yet, beating the 80 odd people last year. There were plenty of young ones and the oldest person was 94!

The Leigh primary school raised over $1000, beating last year so they will be pleased.

The Leigh pre-school raised $150 providing tea and coffee donated by New World Warkworth.

The Leigh Minimisation made about $60, selling products made from recycled wool and materials.

The Leigh Community Patrol were there to support their new organisation and Pest Free Leigh was giving out more rat traps.

This is a small community with big hearts, very supportive and all is done by volunteers! Well done to everyone involved and those brave enough to get in the water!
