A temporary health warning is in place at Mangawhai estuary - please do not swim or gather shellfish in the area until further notice.

Our outfall pumpstation on Thelma Road South failed overnight due to a power issue.

Council contractors Downer have been onsite and have connected a generator to get it going again.

Because of the failure some wastewater overflow is expected into Mangawhai estuary.

Signage is being installed at entry points to the estuary and this will remain in place until Saturday 13 April.
