A heart-shaped, heartwarming auction on Trade Me has resulted in a donation of more than $200.00 to the Warkworth Volunteer Fire Brigade. 

Elite Window Solutions in Warkworth auctioned off a heart-shaped potato that received over 25 bids.

The auction bio said it all: “All the volunteers in the country deserve great respect but this little spud can only do so much and she's chosen our local Warkworth Volunteer Fire Brigade, so come on, maybe you and your friends could chip in together and help fundraise for a hot cause.”

The winning bid of $222.00 went to Trade Me user nascarsonali. 

The Warkworth Volunteer Fire Station were very thankful for the donation saying, “The brigade would like to say a BIG thank you to Elite Window Solutions for their fundraising Trade Me auction of a heart shaped spud. The auction raised $222 for our brigade”.
