Be smart with fireworks

Light them in an open space, away from buildings or vegetation.

Have a large bucket of water or hose on hand.

Make sure your fireworks are pointed at the sky and not each other

Be a good neighbour. Let people around you know you’re planning to set of fireworks, especially those with pets and livestock.

Dispose of your fireworks safely - soak them in water before throwing them out.
