The Tawharanui Open Sanctuary Society, also known as TOSSI, is looking for volunteers to help with a range of activities around the park this Sunday, the 1st of March.

Anyone is welcome to lend a hand with projects like tree planting, fence maintenance, the monitoring of reintroduced species and shorebirds, checking and maintaining traplines, helping in the nursery, or just generally helping out. 

It's a great opportunity to give back to the community and to also spend a day roaming around a beautiful regional park. The day's work will begin at 9:00 a.m. and finish around 1:00 p.m., with a delicious barbeque meal offered afterwards to say thank you. 

If you would like to attend, make sure you wear old clothes and sturdy shoes, and a pair of gardening or work gloves wouldn't go amiss.
