FOOD RECALLS - Various peanut products affected

Several food recalls have been announced over the last two weeks, with a range of popular products being withdrawn from sale due to possible contamination with foreign matter.


6 October 2025 – Smartfoods Limited

Smartfoods Limited is recalling specific batches of:

  • Tom & Luke brand Protein Peanut Brownie Snackaballs

  • Vogel’s brand Cluster Crunch Peanut Butter

  • Vogel’s brand Daily Protein Plus Almond Pistachio

These products may contain small metal pieces.

3 October 2025 – Foodstuffs Own Brands Ltd

Foodstuffs Own Brands Ltd has issued two recalls:

  • Pams brand Mini Hash Browns – may contain hard plastic

  • Gilmours brand Chopped Peanuts – may contain small metal pieces

3 October 2025 – Scalzo Food Industries

Scalzo Food Industries is recalling a specific batch of FreshLife brand Chopped Peanuts, also due to possible small metal contamination.

Consumer advice

Customers are urged to check the date markings on any affected products. Affected items should not be consumed. While no injuries have been reported, anyone who has eaten any of these products and has health concerns should seek medical advice.


Retailers are required to display point-of-sale notices for one month to inform customers of the recalls.
