Ex-Cyclone Lola has once again lashed the shores of Snells Beach, taking out further land on the public walkway along the beach front.
It was previously damaged by Cyclone Gabrielle and had recently had some repairs done including the new concrete path you can now clearly see floating over tree trucks and in pieces.
Online comments by locals are furious the Council left it so late to do repairs and only marginally repaired some areas, with no retaining walls.
Locals have pointed out big retaining walls like the boulders at Point Wells need to be put in at Snells to avoid further erosion so there will still be some space for a public walkway, before its totally reclaimed in further weather events.
Snells Beach Ratepayers & Residents Association (SBRRA) are holding a public meeting to discuss The Shoreline Adaptation Plan, feel free to attend to have your say.
