PLAN AHEAD FOR HOLIDAY WEEKEND TRAFFIC

Over the Easter weekend holiday period, subject to weather activity, we expect to see large numbers of people leaving their homes and heading for popular holiday destinations.

We are anticipating some traffic delays during this period, especially for those heading to the Bay of Islands or other beach destinations, or down to Auckland, so please plan ahead if you will be travelling on any state highway routes across the Northland region.

Consider leaving when traffic is lighter, either early in the morning or later in the evening, or consider traveling on a different day (if possible) and always remember to drive to the conditions.
