The Coastguard is currently searching for a kayaker in the Buckleton Bay and Kawau Bay area, who was last seen around 1pm today.

They are calling for anyone with further information, if you were out there today please contact the Coastguard on *500 from your mobile or on 09 303 1303.

Conditions today has seen westerly winds gusting up to 23kts with a 1meter northerly swell.
