Last week we reported that the Mahurangi Rugby Club would be hosting the Blues for a pre-season game against the Hurricanes.

Unfortunately due to the hot and dry weather conditions over the last few weeks, the grounds in Warkworth are no longer up to scratch.

The game will now be hosted at the Onewa Domain in Takapuna on Saturday 5th Feb.

Andrew Hore, a Blues chief executive has said "The risk of injury is too high with the game only two weeks before the start of the Super Rugby Pacific Season."

He added, “There was an important and fun day planned but the health and welfare of our players is absolutely paramount. We thank both Mahurangi Rugby Club for their support as well as Takapuna Rugby Club for accepting to host us at short notice.”
