As of today, there's 657 cases of coronavirus in New Zealand, up 58 cases from yesterday’s count.
Director General of Health, Ashley Bloomfield, said that while there had been a drop in the number of new cases, he didn't think that it reflected a drop in the number of transmissions. The expectation was still that the number of cases would continue to increase.
74 people have recovered from the virus so far.
14 people are in hospital with COVID-19, 2 of whom are in the intensive care units but in a stable condition.
Between one and two per cent of cases are due to community transmission.
