Shanelle Fraser-Smith

Owner and Creative Director Shanelle opened Smith Hairdressing as an evolution of her family's move from Auckland to the Matakana Coast. After years of working as an Artistic Director for Toni&Guy, Shanelle brought her skills and industry experience to Matakana. Two time award winner of New Zealand Hairdresser of the Year, and educator for Toni&Guy in New Zealand and Australia, she has hosted many industry Master Classes, as well as featuring in magazine editorials for Viva and Fashion Quarterly. Shanelle's approach to hair is individualistic as well as practical and beautiful.

Amber Shirley

Amber is an experienced stylist having honed her skills in New Zealand, the UK and Australia. She has been part of international colour education teams for Revlon and O&M, as well as having editorial work featured in The Denizen and Viva, and contributed to hair styling in NZFW runway shows. After returning to Auckland and enjoying several years at Stephen Marr, Amber decided to have a sea change and come to work with her long time friend and old colleague, Shanelle. They share the same hair values and are enjoying joining forces after all these years. Amber loves getting to know her clients so she can understand their individual hair needs and give them a look that is unique yet unfussy.
