Lotus cottage is located in a country setting overlooking a serene and tranquil lake, perfect for a romantic weekend away or a couples retreat. The cottage has been recently renovated providing you with luxurious linen and everything you need for a relaxing holiday.

A close drive to Matakana Village where you can pick up all your gourmet treats to make a gorgeous dinner in the fully equipped kitchen. Cosy in the winter with the indoor wood burner and in the summer enjoy your own outdoor fire pit overlooking the lake.

Matakana is the gateway for some of Auckland’s most beautiful beaches, marine reserves and wineries such as Omaha, Ti Point, Goat Island, Pakiri, Kawau Island and Tawharanui Peninusla to name a few. These beaches and surrounding areas offer some of New Zealand’s best spots to fish, dive, snorkell, surf, golf or for those foodies eating at some of Auckland’s best restaurants and vineyards. A great place to learn to surf, dive or paddle board with fantastic lessons easily arranged. Matakana has something for everyone… shopping trips, vintage and antique furniture, wineries, restaurants, golf courses, horseriding…the list goes on!

Please note that whilst the cottage has been renovated to a high standard the gardens surrounding the cottage are still a work in progress. This does not hinder the beautiful view of the lake or stop your stay at Lotus Cottage being anything but amazing.
