Surrounded by farms and forests, set back from SH1, Dome Cafe is ideal for a whistle stop, or a lazy long lunch. Come and enjoy our fresh food, great coffee and cozy ambience in our vibrant cafe or unwind on our deck surrounded by native bush.
OUR MENU
Our menu comprises of traditional Kiwi brunch classics with a Dome twist. We are passionate about creating fresh dishes with healthy options available and sourced locally wherever possible. We are establishing our kitchen garden and hope to be able to create dishes using our own produce in the near future.
OUR COFFEE
Coffee is a big part of Dome Cafe and we are delighted to be working alongside Meebz, a specialised boutique coffee company based on the Northshore. We serve Meebz signature blend, a rich coffee full of flavour. We are working on creating our own unique blend, tailored specifically for Dome Cafe, so keep an eye out for announcements on this soon!
TRAMPING AND CAMPING
For the more adventurous, the Cafe is situated opposite the walking track to the Dome Summit which has spectacular views of the Dome mountains and forests. The Dome Walkway track is situated on the Te Araroa Trail is New Zealand's longest walking track! The 3000km walk starts from Cape Reinga; the top of the North Island to Bluff; the bottom of the South Island.
If you are completing the trail, and you are looking for somewhere to camp, we have everything you need at Dome Cafe including a separate campsite and proper kitchen and bathroom facilities...there is even a hot solar powered shower! Additionally, we offer menu items specifically tailored to trampers such as fresh fruit and super healthy menu options to keep you energised.
