June brings a very special treat with alt-country and folk band Rufous Whistler from Australia performing a full concert on Thursday, the 5th of June.

Rufous Whistler’s debut album, National Panic, debuted at #2 on the ARIA Country charts in March 2025 and was named ABC Country’s Feature Album of the Week.

With international airplay, a fervent live show, and a growing fan base, the band’s blend of folk and alt-country is resonating deeply with audiences.

Hailing from Northeast Victoria (Wiradjuri Country), Rufous Whistler combines raw storytelling with modern alt-country arrangements, reminiscent of I’m With Her’s harmonies, Gillian Welch’s storytelling, and the energy of Trampled by Turtles.

The band is touring extensively across Australia and New Zealand in 2025.
