Lovers of classic cars and vintage vehicles should head for Matakana on Sunday, August 24 when the annual Daffodil Day Rally for Cancer is held.

Organised by the Wellsford Warkworth Vintage Car Club, the rally always attracts dozens of beautifully restored and preserved vehicles, usually with a bit of retro fashion and daffodil décor thrown in.

The vehicles will gather in the carpark next to Matakana School from 10am for several hours, where there will be a coffee cart, sausage sizzle and bake sale run by the school PTA.

Collectors will also be at the Matakana Market on 30 August.
