SEEKING NEW PENGUIN RANGERS

The 2025 nesting season is about to start and we need volunteers. Come and be part of something exciting, learn new skills, have some fun, protecting and monitoring our Little Penguins.

DATE: Sunday the 18th of May

TIME: 2.30pm-3.30pm

VENUE: Leigh Hall

We’re a friendly bunch and tea and coffee will be provided.

The Leigh Penguin Project is looking for volunteers, helpers and committee members. For those who are adventurous, we collect data from nesting sites around the coast. Our area stretch from Goat Island, to Leigh and Ti Point.

There are opportunities to be involved in our community events, training days, and organising committee.

You can upskill in a range of new initiatives with emerging technologies as we work closely with the New Zealand Penguin Initiative.

All training will be provided.
