Free Kiwi Avoidance Training for Dogs – Matakana

If you live or work with dogs in or near areas known to be home to kiwi in the Rodney, this training is for you.

Kiwi Avoidance Training (KAT) is a simple but effective tool to help protect our native wildlife.

Our experienced trainer will guide your dog through a 10-minute session using a specialised e-collar to teach kiwi scent avoidance.

While KAT is a valuable tool, it's not foolproof. We strongly recommend keeping dogs on a lead at all times in kiwi zones.
