Kiwi Avoidance Training for Dogs - Free
Dog owners in Rodney help to protect our growing kiwi populations! If you live or work with a dog in areas known to be home to kiwi, then join us at one of our Kiwi Avoidance Training sessions across Rodney in November and December.
Event Dates & Locations:
Saturday, 2nd November – Streamlands (903 West Coast Road)
Sunday, 3rd November – Matakana Country Park
Saturday, 7th December – Morris & James Pottery (Tongue Farm Road)
Sunday, 8th December – Matakana Country Park
Time: 9 AM – 3:30 PM
Our KAT trainer will guide you and your dog through a 15-minute e-collar session to teach kiwi scent avoidance.
While KAT is a valuable tool, it’s not foolproof. We recommend that all dogs entering areas known to be home to kiwi remain on a leash at all times.
FREE Training – Booking required.
