Schubert’s melodious 'Overture in Italian Style' opens this year's concert in Warkworth.
The programme features soloist Emily Rendall playing the warm and gentle 'Ballade for Flute and Orchestra' by Carl Reinecke. She will follow this with the joyful 'Badinerie' from Bach’s Suite No. 2.
Mozart's music for a masonic funeral contrasts with the balletic humour of John Lanchbery's 'Clog Dance' and the chilled laid back 'Lazy Dance' by Amanda Aldridge (a.k.a. Montague King).
Easy piano music from our childhood by teenage composer Euphemia Allen and the boisterous 'Mock Morris' by Australian composer Percy Grainger round out the programme.
Admission is free.
